December 9 – 10, 2022, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia.
SDGs and Future Organizations
Aims and Objectives
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of global goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015. The SDGs are a blueprint for achieving a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The SDGs are relevant to all countries and all stakeholders, and they provide a common framework for action for all actors to contribute to a more sustainable future. The SDGs are reshaping the way organizations operate and think about their impact on society and the environment. They are also influencing the way governments set priorities and allocate resources. The SDGs are thus playing an important role in shaping the future of organizations and the world.

First Strategic Forum 2018
Esteemed speakers shared their valuable input on “The role of academia and industry liaisons and the current state of affairs in the context of diverse national and cultural scenarios”. Discussion on future direction and implications provided the participants with insight. The main theme of the forum catered to the research produced by academia and its utilization in the industry for socio-economic solutions. Primarily the experts shed light on the avenues of funding for academia by the industry in the guise of university-industry liaisons and the reciprocal provision of solutions by the academia to the industry. Participants emphasized the non-specificity of research funding targets through real-world examples of multinational companies and pointed out the instances where companies funded research through academia on the non-related socio-economic issue. The contextualization of issues faced by nations on a geographic basis was also discussed and how different approaches were being utilized to counter similar issues in different countries. The role of academia in the mobilisation of public opinion regarding the perception of various social issues was also discussed and there was a consensus of the speakers on collaboration between industry and academia for better solutions through research and alliance of both sectors for a noticeable impact in case of economic downturns or natural disasters. 1st strategic forum was held during 4th ASIA International Conference (AIC-2018) at Langkawi International Convention Center, Langkawi Malaysia.
