AIMC 2020 Online Conference Instructions

The Ministry of Health Malaysia took serious precautionary measures to avoid COVID-19 outbreak and suggested to avoid public gathering. To ensure safety of all connecting ASIA members and participants, Scientific committee AIMC 2020 has decided to conduct all presentations online. Instructions will be sent to all participants through email soon. Participants can register for Online Presentations only. Connecting ASIA supports the research related to COVID-19. All papers on this topic are free to present and Connecting ASIA will fund 50% of their publication fee in international journals.

Online Presentations

Connecting ASIA always extended its efforts to make AIMC a memorable event for all the participants. This year due to COVID-19 outbreak, scientific committee AIMC 2020 decided to conduct conference online. However, this will not limit us to disseminate, share and publish our participants works. The AIMC 2020 would be unforgettable event for all of our participants and we will stand together against epidemic COVID-19. We shall leverage CONNECTING ASIA’s strong network in 42 countries with more than 8000 members. This allow us to share research to widespread audience.

To make AIMC 2020 unique online conference more interesting and widespread, we have some changes in the all presentations format and competitions.

5 Slide 5 Minutes Video Competition

The 5 slide 5 minutes competition will be changed to video presentation competitions. The presenters are required to provide us their video presentation of maximum 5 minutes. We will share the video to our YOUTUBE channel and will share to all our network. Participants are encouraged to promote their videos from our YouTube channel. The decision of the winner will be based on the views, watch time and comments on each video at our official YouTube channel. This will allow participants you showcase their work to a widespread network of connecting ASIA.  The winners will receive cash prize of RM 1000 and top 3 position holders will receive  Gold, Silver and Bronze medals

Poster Presentation Competition (Soft copy)

The poster presentation competition presenters are required to provide us soft copy of their poster. We will share the poster to our Facebook page and will share to all our network. Participants are encouraged to promote their poster through our Facebook page. The decision of the winner will be based on the Shares, likes and comments on posters at our official Facebook page.  This will allow participants you showcase their work to a widespread network of connecting ASIA.  The winners will receive cash prize of RM 1000 and top 3 position holders will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. 

Normal Presentation Through Skype

All participants are required to present through Skype on 18 April 2020. The normal presentation will consist on 10-12 minutes of presentation and question answer session.

Abstract Videos

Along with the presentation the participants will be given opportunity to provide us the 30 Sec to 60 seconds of abstract video which we will share from all our platforms to ensure the high visibility of your research. The sample video for abstract can be found at the link below. The last date to submit abstract video is 25 April 2020.

 

Extended Abstract for conference proceedings

We also recommend authors to provide the extended abstract for publication as conference proceedings in addition to the publication of the full paper in SCOPUS / ISI journals. This proceeding will be indexed in google scholar, BASE and many other indexing with DoI numbers. We will share the link of each extended abstract along with videos that allows participants to showcase their work to a large audience and get more visibility (citations). The template for extended abstract is provided http://connectingasia.org/downloads/. The last date to submit extended abstracts is 25 April 2020.
